Siemens Singapore Legal Counsel

Siemens Singapore Legal Counsel

Dawn Seah began her legal career at Infineon Technologies in 2004 and served as General Counsel for Asia Pacific at Wyndham Worldwide in 2006, where she led a compact but highly capable legal team. However, it was in 2009 that she really made a name for herself as an individual in the upper echelons of the domestic Southeast Asian legal community when she became General Counsel at Siemens in Singapore, a highly successful period of employment that lasted until 2017. In 2010, she also assumed responsibility for Siemens Healthcare and, in 2013, General Counsel for the ASEAN Pacific region, where she was responsible for a diverse team of 28 legal advisors from 11 countries in seven countries and generated revenues of €5 billion. Seah took up her current role as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Sivantos Group in July 2017 and held the most senior legal and compliance position at the Singapore-based international hearing aid manufacturer, where she is also a member of the Sivantos Group`s Global Board of Directors. Looking back on his career, Seah highlights a number of highlights, but sees the opportunity to “build Siemens Singapore`s legal team from scratch and expand and build the ASEAN Pacific legal team as a respected, diverse and innovative legal team providing solutions for Siemens` cross-sector business” as a special highlight. During his tenure at Sivantos, Seah developed and expanded the global team`s legal, compliance and privacy capabilities and resources with an effective regional team structure in just 18 months. She also developed new processes and streamlined existing ones to address the challenges the firm faces in the diverse global legal landscape of changing laws and regulations, successfully anchoring the legal team as an integral part of the business.
